Sad Clown The Heartless

I don't know what to say about this one ... I really don't know what the hell it is.

I was watching a bunch of videos on YouTube and one crazy anime-ish mix video had a quick flash from a scene in which these ... shadow things, coming out of shadows and surrounding a guy. They looked like clowns, with the squiggly Court Jester head-hats they had happening. We're talking literally five seconds of the video montage here but the image stuck, I liked it. While doodling tonight I tried to replicate the look with my own spin, tried to make it look really creepy with some sort of weird, shadow clown demon crossed with the Cheshire Cat and a Sableye. I was going to have really hard and rough lines, it would have been awesome.

I wound up making it look sad, almost as if it was once a person now doomed by the will of something dark to do deeds of violence and evil, and it's once again been summoned to do something it doesn't really want to do. I sorta dig the way it looked so I ran with it.

Now that I have "sad demon clown" out of my system it should, in theory, give me a chance to actually do what I intended, maybe soon. I hope. I'm sure I'll revisit this little guy anyway.

Turns out it's something called "The Heartless" from the Kingdom Hearts games. That's what I get for not jumping on the bandwagon.
